Q. Should I register
with the College for the CII, CPCU, and IAC. overseas
examinations? |

A.
No. Candidates register directly with the CII, CPCU
and IAC. |

Q. Can I have my examination
paper remarked? |
|
| |
A.
Yes. All appeals of examinations results must
be done writing within twenty-one (21) days after
the results have been published on the College's notice
board or website. No consideration will be given after
that date. |

Q. Can we purchase past
examination papers for the courses? |
|
| |
A.
Past examination papers, with the exception of the
Sales Representative Examinations, which are undisclosed
examinations, are available at a cost of $10.00 per
page one side, $15.00 both sides. A one-day
notice is required. |

Q. What are the opening
hours for the Administration office? |

| |
A.
The Administration Office opening hours are 8:30 a.m.
- 6:30 p.m. |

Q. Can we get examination
results over the telephone? |

A.
No. Results are not given over the telephone. They
are posted on the website. For candidates who are
company sponsored, these results are sent to the HR/Training
Managers. For candidates who are self-sponsored, these
results may be collected at the College. |

Q. Do I need to do the
pre-requisite courses before the certificate courses? |

A.
Yes! The pre-requisite courses are Introduction to
Insurance and Legal Principle.
Persons must pursue at least one of the
pre-requisite courses before being admitted to pursue
a technical course. |

Q. Does the College have
classroom or conference facilities for rental during
the day. |

| |
A.
Yes the College has facilities for rental. Costs are
as follows:
- Lecture Rooms:
accommodating 20 to 50 persons - $750.00 per hour
- Aubrey McLeod Lecture
Room: accommodating 30 persons - $1200 per hour
- UGI Lecture Hall:
accommodating 120 persons in a classroom setting and
160 persons
theatre style - $1500 per hour. |

Q. Are there any exemptions
from the Insurance Diploma? |

A.
Exemptions are granted from subjects contained in
the Jamaica Insurance Diploma. The maximum number
of subjects that one applicant can be exempted from
is two (2). |
