Public Speaking for Business Professionals
Overview: How many times have you given directions that you considered clear and unambiguous to a colleague, only to hear the person say: “Oh, I thought that you meant something else?” Mis-communication is a source of frustration, but can also lead to accidents, wasted time, and conflict. Though many people think they have mastered verbal communication techniques, everyone experiences the consequences of failed communication. Objectives: This course reviews some of the basic tenets of effective verbal communication from the speaker's point of view. It is written to provide individuals (whether in the private, public, or non-profit sector, and at all levels of an organizational structure) with tips and hints to clarify communication. The course covers: -crafting a speech – purpose, organization and language -techniques for effective delivery – voice, gestures -speaking impromptu -different types of business presentations -speaking in non business settings -presenting supporting documentation or illustrations

Advanced Selling Strategies for the Insurance Sector
This course was designed and developed specifically for the general insurance sector. Anchored in consumer and business to business buying behavior, this course makes the crucial distinction between small and major accounts selling strategies. Employing contemporary approaches, it prepares participants to navigate both the simple and major or complex sale and become tactical marketers who effectively micro-differentiate their firm thereby creating value by the way that they sell to their target market rather than merely communicating a value proposition. This course transcends conventional “Solutions Selling”. The objective is to educate participants to build knowledgebased trust with their clients, and wherever possible, utilize their knowledge and insights to raise the level of discussion to provide better solutions than their clients had identified.
